PTFA
Who are the PTFA?
All families are automatically members of the PTFA when their child joins our school. Meetings are held monthly and you are always welcome to come along to hear more about what we do. Meetings are not just for committee members, many parents contribute to the running of our PTFA and the many events we hold throughout the year.
Why do we have a PTFA?
We are fortunate at our school to have a PTFA that is, and has been, an integral part of the school community for many years.
Our PTFA, however, is about much more than simply fundraising! It exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or our many valued helpers.
How can you get involved?
Being a member of the PTFA Committee is thoroughly rewarding, and as alternate meetings are held at the pub, an enjoyable experience too!
All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. Involvement in the PTFA can range from a simple one-off commitment such as helping on a stall for an hour at the Summer Fair, to joining the committee or one of our event organising teams. We also need volunteers to issue tickets, create posters, purchase refreshments, help out at coffee mornings and much more! Everyone has something to give and we always welcome new ideas and suggestions.
If you would like to get involved in the PTFA and help the success continue, please do come along to one of our PTFA meetings. Our PTFA committee meet regularly, and always welcome new members. You can give as little or much time as you can, but any help is greatly appreciated.

Our current PTFA Committee
The key roles within the PTFA consist of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Treasurer. These roles are taken on by parents and carers who kindly dedicate their time to organise and run a range of exciting events across the academic year. The PTFA are always grateful of any support from parents and carers who are able to volunteer their time to support these events.
Our school staff also work alongside the PTFA to support in the running of key events throughout the year.
Events
Our PTFA work incredibly hard to organise a range of events throughout the school year:
New parents Coffee Morning
Blitz Firework Display
Various PTFA Non-uniform Days
School Discos (2 a year)
PTFA Bingo

How is the money spent?
The money raised goes straight back into school and helps fund a range of initiatives including school trips and equipment. The PTFA also contribute annually towards Christmas parties for the children!
