Child Safety Initiatives
NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe Programme
At Middlewich Primary School, we actively participate in the NSPCC “Speak out. Stay safe. Programme.” Through Ant and Dec's assemblies, children learn to recognise signs of abuse and are reminded to talk to a trusted adult if they ever feel unsafe.
NSPCC Pants are Private
The NSPCC Pants campaign, featuring Pantosaurus has helped 1.5 million parents and carers in having conversations with their children about staying safe from sexual abuse. Developed in consultation with children, parents, carers and teachers, the Talk PANTS initiative emphasises that a child’s body belongs to them, and they should tell a trusted adult if anything makes them feel uncomfortable or worried.
At Middlewich Primary School, we participate in the Talk PANTS NSPCC programme. Like the Green Cross Code, this initative takes a potentially tricky subject and provides adults with the necessary tools to talk about it in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Watch Pantosaurus with your children to learn the underwear rule together and reinforce the message of body safety.
