Good morning Reception

We hope you have all had a lovely weekend even though the weather has turned, let's hope the sunshine comes back soon!  This weekend I have been for a walk down the river dodging the rain showers.  I know Mrs Pillai has been busy with her little boys and Mrs Webster has been decorating her living room and hallway.

The home learning sheet is on for this week so let us know which activities you manage to complete.  We would love to hear what you have been up to so please reply to the blog and let us know. We hope you have a lovely week and we will be in touch soon.

Hello everyone, I've enjoyed my half term break and bumped into a few friends out on my walks from a distance, which has been nice. I went to the sweet boat on the canal and got jelly cherries and teddy bears.
I've had the paddling pool out and some of my flowers are out now. We have some caterpillars and a really big one that is eating our plants so Mum said he can't stay. Mum took pictures to put in my book. Mum is reading Charlie and the chocolate factory each night to me..it has lots of words on each page.
I've also been out on my scooter to help with my balance.. I'm so close to riding my bike on my own now. Have a lovely day. I'm going for a bike ride attempt then starting my school work.
I miss my friends a lot but hope everyone is having fun.
Take care. Love Sophie xx

Hello Mrs Webster, I have been spending a lot of time in the garden bouncing on my bum and knees on my trampoline. My mummy bought us a new green paddling pool and I have a fishing rod and fish to catch in it. It has been so sunny I have sat in the garden with my family having two bbq's and lemonade. I have also enjoyed riding my bike and going up and down the drive on my quad bike. My daddy also took me fishing and we caught three fish, I tried to hold one but it was very slimy and I dropped it, but my daddy picked it up and put it back in the pond. I helped out by lifting the fish out using a net and very long pole. Missing you all, see you soon. Oscar.

Hi everyone

Over the holidays me and my brother have been playing in our pool, we have been to lots of places for walks like the sweet boat on the canal, the bridal path, a paw patrol numbers hunt on our local field and Owley Wood where we climbed logs and paddled in the river.

Hopefully see you all soon๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ‘ป.

Dear Mrs Webster,

Mummy, Robyn and I have been doing the lovely work you have set us. I have also been very busy having fun. We have been playing with our toys, bouncing on our trampoline and going in the hot tub at Daddy's house. Yesterday we went for a walk in the forest and had an ice cream - i had mint choc chip and Robyn had vanilla. We also went rolling down a hill and i went super fast!

I hope you are well and i miss you.

I wanted to ask you - When the germs are gone what will you be doing?

Love from Theo

Hello Mrs Webster

I had a good half term, playing in the garden in the lovely sunshine. I painted a picture of a butterfly like you said it had lots of different colours on it, and some different shapes. Today I have played Word snakes and ladders with the words from my word wall, I have done some super reading to. I am going to go for a walk now to collect some leaves, sticks and stones to do my sorting activity. Then I am going to help mammy make a cake.

See you soon

Hi everyone,
It was lovely to see all your messages when I logged on today. I have been busy in school getting lots of things ready. You all sound like you are so busy keeping fit, enjoying the weather and working very hard.

Oscar, you have spent lots of time outside in the sunshine. I think you have been very lucky with all the fun things you have done. You were lucky to catch 3 fish, it makes fishing much more fun when you catch one.

Jessica, a mud kitchen sounds like great fun! I am sure you will have so much fun in there. I'm so glag that you have been doing your phonics, I will be impressed when I see you.

Jude you have had lots of adventures. The woods sounds great. I might have to look that one up and visit there too. You are lucky to have your brother to have lots of fun with as well.

Theo you have been busy too with your sister! The hot tub sounds lovely, and you have been very active running off all your energy. I'm not quite sure what you mean about what I will be doing when the germs are gone. Hopefully lots of fun things with all of you.

Charlie, you are working so hard! It sounds like you are having lots of fun too. You always make me hungry when I read about how you are baking lots of cakes. I hope they are delicious.

I'm just ready for my lunch now so I hope you keep enjoying the sunshine and thank you for your lovely messages.

Hopefully see you all soon,
Mrs Webster

Good morning! Here is the rain... I have had a lovely half term playing in the garden and in my paddling pool, it has been so hot! I went on my first walk on Sunday with my mum, dad and big brother Ted, it was the first time we have left the house in 10 weeks because my mum has been shielding. It was great but my legs got very tired!
I had a chat with Sophie over the canal from my garden at the weekend. it was great to see her, I can't wait to see everyone.

Hello,
I am so excited to come back to school.
Over half term, I played in my paddling pool a lot. I've also been making some yummy snacks with my mummy like mango ice lollies and banana bread and bliss balls. We're going to go for a soggy walk in a bit so that we can tick the animals that we see off of a list. When we get home, we're going to make a story about the animals that we see. I want to start it wth 'once upon a time...'.
I hope you have a lovely afternoon x

Hi Darcey,
I bet the birds were loving your bird bath in the warm weather. I have spotted a few bird nests around lately so all the baby birds will be very grateful for a nice drink when they are ready to fly.
You are the second person to mention the canal sweet boat, I definitely need to find that next time I take a walk along the canal in Middlewich! What are your favourite sweets?
Take care Darcey.

We managed to go on our first walk after 10 weeks on Sunday, my mum has been shielding and we haven't been able to leave the house. It felt amazing to get out but legs got really tired because they haven't walked that far for ages.
I am really enjoying doing math and all the number work!
I hope the sunshine comes back soon, love Stan

Good afternoon everybody,

It's great to hear from you all again. I'm sorry if it has taken me a little while to reply. It's because I am in school doing lots of things at the moment and have even seen some of you here. It sounds like you are all still having lots of fun even though the weather hasn't been very nice for the last few days.

Stan, I bet you really enjoyed your walk. It's good to get out of the house even when you have been spending lots of time in your garden. I can imagine that you legs would be aching after that.

Lillia, I like the sound of your yummy snacks that you have been making. They sound delicious. I have never heard of bliss balls so am wondering what they are. I hope that you enjoyed your walk and didn't get too soggy! I would love to see your story.

Hazel, It sounds like you are still working very hard and also having lots of fun. I'm sure your colour wheel was beautiful. Did you remember where all the primary and secondary colours all go?

I am looking forward to seeing lots of you soon when you come back to school. I am missing your stories and smiles.

Keep having fun and take care.

Hello again,
We got very soggy on our walk and had a warm bath afterwards! A bliss ball is a healthy snack that we make from dates, oats and homemade peanut butter - they are spheres

Good Morning Mrs Webster,
We had a good weekend, even though we could not play outside as much because it was raining, i went out for some walks with my Mummy, Daddy, George and Aimee, we wore our wellies because it was wet, we found a big field to run around in and it also had a stream flowing through, so me and George went into the water as we had our boots on, when i tried to get back up the river bank, it was very muddy and my wellies got stuck in the mud, Mummy had to come and rescue me but my boots came off as she tried to lift me out, she had to pass me to Daddy, and then George helped Mummy pull my very stuck boots out of the mud

Hi Stan and Oscar,

It sounds like you are both having good fun. I do agree, I would like the sun to come back out again but at least it isn't raining today.

Stan, it's great to hear that you have been practising your reading and phonics. The books sound like fun. I love tortoises. I bet the baby ones are really cute. Camping in your living room sounds like good fun too and much drier than camping outside!

Oscar, your walk sounds a bit messy and squelchy. I'm glad you had your wellies on but I hope that you didn't have to leave it stuck behind in the mud! You are getting lots of exercise while you are at home. Well done for keeping nice and fit.

I miss you all too and hope to see you soon.

Hello everyone,
This weekend I have been on some very long walks even when it was raining for some fresh air.
I bumped into a few of my friends on my walks which was nice because I got to say hello and wave. I have made rice krispie cakes and at first I didn't think I liked them but then when I did taste one I really did. I also made chocolate chip muffins. I have now finished Charlie and the chocolate factory and have started on Secret Seven collection with Mum which I really like.
Mum took me on a surprise drive yesterday and as a treat I went through a drive through and got a Happy meal! It was a delicious treat and surprise. I also got a new doll, she is a larger doll and I've called her JoJo. When we can do Show and Tell I will bring her in to show you all.
I've been practicing my numbers in multiples of 2 and odd and even by reading numbers on houses. I really loved Ning Nang Nong last week and have been watching it ever since. I am learning all of the words. I am looking forward to cowboy phonics later with Mum. I've done my numbers 1 to 30 in the book. Mum has also prepared the swan work and music sheets today so going to do them when my Mum has a call with work.
I am missing all my friends and sending a big hug to everyone who needs one. Have a great day. Lots of love Sophie x x

You will really enjoy the Secret Seven I used to read them when I was little. Ask your mum if she remembers the Famous Five, I loved them as well.
Wow, a happy meal what a delicious treat! I know my boys would love one of those at the moment but I don't think the McDonald's near me has reopened yet so they will have to wait a little longer!
Your doll sounds lovely, I look forward to meeting JoJo.
Take care and keep working hard.
