3H- 15.06.20

Date: 15th Jun 2020 @ 9:24am

Good morning 3H,

I hope you've had a lovely weekend. Did any of you hear the storms and rain that we had on Saturday? They were quite impressive weren't they? I hope nobody got rained on like I did!  Let me know what you have been up to by replying to this blog or by emailing me on Purple Mash.

This week’s home learning overview can be found on our class page.

Go to 'Class Pages'; choose 3H and scroll down until you see 'Files to Download' - 'Year 3 Home Learning wb 15.6.20'. I hope you like all of the different activities that we have planned for you this week.

A big well done to 3D as they won the battle on TT Rockstars last week. We ended up creeping up on them and it was a lot closer this week. Our TT Rockstar Superstars this week were: Max, Eliza and James J who all scored over 1000 points for our team. I think we can definitely win this week so I have set a rematch. Let's work hard this week and see if we can win it! The battle runs until 3.20pm on Friday- good luck!

Have a lovely week everyone, stay safe!

Hello Miss Harding. My Mum, Dad and brother went outside to watch the storm but they were sheltered from the rain. We were in the eye of the storm and we could tell that because the thunder and lightning were nearly at the same time 😲! I didn't know any of this until the morning because I slept all the way through. I only heard the start then it was like it had completely stopped.

In the morning I do P.E. with Joe and after that I do The Maths Factor and then TTRockstars. After that I have my first break time, then do some English or Maths and then I like to do more TTRockstars then it is Lunch. After Lunch I do something else like History or science, after I do that it is three O’clock. For the end of the day I listen to David Walliams.
When the storm arrived on Saturday it rained very hard and I went outside and got soaking wet (On purpose) and it was fun. Later when I was going to bed the cat jumped on my bed, I heard thunder and saw lightning, the cat was scared and I stroked him to calm him down but he ran away.

Hi Miss Harding at the weekend we climbed up to White Nancy, it was very hilly and made my legs ache. When we tried to go home police were blocking the road because the wide load was coming soon but we got to see it. It was HUGE. When we got home I played foot ball ⚽️🥅 in the back garden. I heard a little of the thunder but mum and dad old me all about the storm too. I’m looking forward to learning more about the Egyptians this week.
See you soon. From Max 😃

Good morning, it's lovely to hear from you all!

Penny: It was very impressive from what I saw and heard. I think you had it worse in Middlewich than I did. Oh wow Penny, you must have been in a deep sleep!

Ashton: Wow Ashton! It sounds like you've got a great routine! I like that you have a story everyday at 3pm like we do in school too. I'm impressed you've been working hard.
It rained very hard- I bet you were soaked but it was lots of fun too :)! It's lovely to hear that you were looking after your cat too during the thunder and lightning.

Max- Hi Max, oh wow! Well done for climbing up to White Nancy. I've heard it's very hilly! I've seen pictures of the 'wide load' in Middlewich! It was very cool and impressive!
I'm glad to hear that you are looking forward to learning about the Egyptians too :)

Izzy- I'm glad to hear that you had a good weekend! Delamere is a great place to visit- I always enjoy myself when I go there. I'm glad that you are looking forward to maths this week! It's lovely to hear that Esme is looking forward to her learning too- keep up the hard work!

Stay safe,

Hello Miss Harding
Me, Eryn, Mummy and Daddy watched the storm from my window and it was cool! We saw a sheet lightning and a fork lightning bolt! Yesterday we went for a walk with friends and we went to a swing on Croxton lane. It was awesome!

Hi Miss Harding,

I've been doing Maths and English. I hope you had a good weekend. I couldn't get to sleep because I was to frightened of the thunder but I got to sleep at some point and then I slept all through it.

Eliza- It was very exciting wasn't it but also a bit scary too to see forks of lightning. Daily walks are lots of fun and a great way to exercise. A swing sounds a great thing to find! I have just seen your pizza and floating garden on Twitter- well done!

Owen- Hi Owen, oh well done! I hope you enjoy this week's work. I did have a good weekend thank you! Glad you got to sleep in the end. It definitely can be scary!

Olley G- Hi Olley, I'm good thank you, I hope that you are too! Wow Olley, you must be working hard if you have nearly finished your work. If you can get Mum to ring the school office, they'll be able to sort another one out for you. I'm really glad that you are enjoying the work that has been set. James J: The thunderstorms were very cool, I agree! Luckily we didn't have flooding but it definitely rained a lot. Wow I've seen some of those Insanity workouts before and they are very tricky so you are doing better than I would be James! I'm glad that you enjoyed making the pizza. Thank you for sending me a picture of it- it looked very tasty. Keep working hard on TT James. You did very well last week!

Jessica M: How are you Jessica- sorry to hear that you were scared of the storm. We miss you all too! Hope you have a lovely week and are keeping safe.

Mikolaj: Hi Mikolaj, I'm glad that you were okay! It was very loud wasn't it!? Aw I'm sorry to hear that your trampoline broke. I hope you have a lovely week!

Let's see you all working hard to raise our score on this week's battle!!

We watched the storm from our bedroom window, I loved it. I am now trying to study the lightening to see if we will be able to use it to power our cities.
I thought the hail was going to smash our window as it was so hard. Hope you didn’t get too wet.
