PTA
Who are the PTFA?
All families are automatically members of the PTFA when their child joins our school. Meetings are held monthly and you are always welcome to come along to hear more about what we do. Meetings are not just for committee members, many parents contribute to the running of our PTFA and the many events we hold throughout the year.
Why do we have a PTFA?
We are fortunate at our school to have a PTFA that is, and has been, an integral part of the school community for many years.
Our PTFA, however, is about much more than simply fundraising! It exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or our many valued helpers.
How can you get involved?
Being a member of the PTFA Committee is thoroughly rewarding, and as alternate meetings are held at the pub, an enjoyable experience too!
All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. Involvement in the PTFA can range from a simple one-off commitment such as helping on a stall for an hour at the Summer Fair, to joining the committee or one of our event organising teams. We also need volunteers to issue tickets, create posters, purchase refreshments, help out at coffee mornings and much more! Everyone has something to give and we always welcome new ideas and suggestions.
If you would like to get involved in the PTFA and help the success continue, please do come along to one of our PTFA meetings. Our PTFA committee meet regularly, and always welcome new members. You can give as little or much time as you can, but any help is greatly appreciated.

Past events
Thank you so much to the PTFA for organising such a wonderful summer fair. It was particularly lovely to see so many children taking part in a range of performances. They were all amazing!
Thanks to the generosity of the families who attended; the fair raised over £2000.00 which is a fantastic amount!
In the past year our PTFA have organised and hosted:
- New parents Coffee Morning (September 2022)
- Blitz Firework Display (Wednesday 3rd November 2021)
- PTFA Christmas themed Non-uniform Day (Friday 26th November 2021)
- PTFA Christmas Surprise Room (Friday 3rd December 2021)
- PTFA Bingo (March 2022)
- PTFA Summer Fair (July 2022)
How is the money spent?
The money raised goes straight back into school and helps fund a range of initiatives including school trips and equipment. In 2021/2022, the PTFA contributed over £4200 towards trips and Christmas parties for the children!
