Introduction

Welcome to Middlewich Primary School

First of all we would like to say a great big WELCOME to all of the children that are starting in September. We are really looking forward to meeting you and your families. 

Our New Intake meeting will take place on the evening of Thursday 30th June. During the evening you will have an opportunity to visit the school, find out about what your child will do through the school day and during their first year of school, and you will have a chance to meet some of the staff who will be working with your child. You will also receive an important information pack with lots of information about starting school. This will tell you which class your child will be in, who his/her teacher will be and lots of other information about the school. The pack will contain some important forms for you to complete and return to school as soon as you can. Included in the pack will also be some top tips of how to get your child 'school ready.' This will help your child to settle into school at the beginning of the academic year. We would love to learn a little more about your child and see what they can already do, so will also include an activity pack for you to complete with your child ready to bring to school on their first day. We hope that you have lots of fun completing these activities together.

Our staff are busy visiting nurseries at the moment to find out about and hopefully meet your child. Once all nursery visits have taken place and children are put into their class groups we will contact you regarding visit dates during the summer term so that your child can see what their new school environment will be like. This is a valuable and exciting part of the transition process from nursery into school.
