The Royal Cheshire Show

The Royal Cheshire Show

We were invited by the School's Out tent to represent Middlewich Primary School.  This was the fourth time we had been asked.  The theme this year was

Animals and us - Can we live together?

After much deliberation we decided to focus on the animals and creatures which live in our gardens.

To showcase our school we collected work from a variery of years. Reception painted bugs and flowers for a garden, year 1 gave us some work on the life cycle of a butterfly and also why certain creatures are important to have in our garden, year 4 made some bugs out of clay and year 6 children painted birds and lavender.

The year 6 pupils who were going to the event were given some homework so that they would be able to inform the general public why animals and bugs are important to our gardens.  They also made wormerys and bird feeders.

We had a fantastic time at the Royal Cheshire Show, the weather was amazing, maybe even a little too hot! The children were fantastic and we were complimented by so many visitors about what wonderful pupils we had.

But the best thing was that we WON the Schools Out Trophey for the Best Primary School.
