We have really enjoyed your Room 13 penultimate chapters over the week. Room 13 is Mrs Davies' favourite Year 6 book. What has been your favourite thing to learn about so far this year?

My favourite has been learning about Mid-West America because it was all new to me. I am looking forward to watching Pocahontas again now that I know so much more about the story's history!
Because sats are canceled when/if we come back to school will we have to do some tests.

We will probably do some Alex but just like we usually do and only to help us to know what we all need reminding of after our break ☺️ Nothing to worry about!
My favourite topic so far has been room 13 because I liked when Fliss was on the landing at night with her friends because it was creepy and I wanted to read more. I also liked writing the penultimate chapter.

When we go back to school I want to read 6D’s writing too! I will find yours and read it Isobel!
I really enjoyed watching holes today but, I forgot how compose an email as it wont show alerts
(please may somebody email me so i have an alert to work off xx)
When I heard sats were cancelled I was happy and sad at the same time. I'm sad that they're cancelled because they help focus more because there is no noise and there is lots of different subjects (plus we get extra play I think). But I'm happy they are cancelled because there are lots of tests to do and I think there is not a lot of time to do them in.
6M - I have sent you all email on Purple Mash now so you can reply to that if you need to speak to me privately.
6D I will do the same for you when I get Mrs Davies' login details from her later on today.
Jess - School is open normal times, including breakfast club.
Layla - I hope nobody was in at the weekend because I wasn't!!
Ethan - Joe Wicks does lots of workouts online. He is doing one at 9am everyday that will be appropriate for everyone. We will be doing it in school to keep fit!
Isobel - I agree... you all would have done brilliantly in your SATs but I am pleased that you don't have to think about them anymore! (I do like doing tests though!)
Nathan - Clockwork was a good one too, you're right!
Isabelle M - I will make sure I read your penultimate chapter too!
Ben W - I knew you would enjoy the swing brides - it was such a good day and I'm not sure I could ever have taught you how to do that!
Daisy - I love Holes! Do you think you will finish watching it at home?
Have a good Monday everybody! Hope you all had a nice weekend with your families.
Hello Miss Merson,
I was trying to send you some of my work on purple mash, but when I pressed send, it told me that I do not have permission to send emails to you. Did I do something wrong?
I hope I can help, the home learning chart is now on your class pages. Go to 'Class Pages' - '6M', then scroll down until you see 'Files to Download' - 'Year 6 Week Beginning 23.3.20'.
Hi miss merson or miss davies,
when i was off you read the crows nest chapter so i don't know what to do for our newspaper report . Could you find me a website to have a look at the chapter please .
I'm afraid I can't find it for free online anywhere. (All books on Audible are free for children at the moment so you could see if it is on there? It might not be though.)
The idea is for you to write a newspaper report about the vampire in Room 13.
If you really struggle with this because you missed some of the book then you could try writing about another book we have read eg. a newspaper report about the death of Karl in Clockwork? or about the capture of Lobo in The Wolves of Currumpaw?
My favourite has been Room 13 as I like how we can create suspense in our writing. Your penultimate chapters were brilliant. I had to read them in the daytime, as I didn't want to be scared too much just before bedtime!
Hi Miss Merson,
I have tried replying to your email, but it still says that I don't have permission. Do you have to be in my 'address book' for me to be able to send you an email?
Jake - I am glad you have enjoyed computing this year. Will you be able to do some at home too? I hope you got on ok on your first day of home schooling!
Hello Miss Merson,
I can't send emails on purple mash so please can you have a look and then let me know how to do it or can you send me one so then I have an alert to work off.
Nothing happens! There is plenty of work available on the sheets (these have been updated since the start of the week too). You should be spending some of your time doing other things too like gardening, helping to prepare meals, reading, playing in the garden and enjoying the nice weather etc.
There are lots of different links on the Home Learning page for other things to do if you particularly want them!
Try to enjoy your time in a way that best suits you.
I loved The Wolves of Currumpaw too Miss Merson - You could have warned me what was going to happen to Lobo though - I wasn't crying honestly - I had something in my eye!
Hi guys the reason why your not getting alerts through is because you have not received a email from Miss Merson. Like Ben said type in the search box 2email and then click on the first folder after that it should come up with some messages that Miss Merson sent you
