Year 3 Home Learning Blog W.b. 30.3.2020

Date: 30th Mar 2020 @ 9:07am

Goood morning year 3. smiley

Your home learning overview for this week can be found on your class page. Go to 'Class Pages', choose 3H/3D and scroll down until you see 'Files to Download' - 'Year 3 Home Learning Overview 30.3.20'.

Have a look through all of the activities. If you have any questions, you can reply to this blog or use 2email by logging into your Purple Mash account. This week, you’ll find some activity sheets that will help with your learning at the bottom of your home learning sheet.

It's been great to see so many of you on TT Rockstars and our leaderboard is looking good, so well done to everyone who has logged on this week. We are now 3rd. Let’s try and catch the 2nd placed school! It's a team effort! We have noticed that there are a number of you not logging onto TT Rockstarts, so it would be lovely to see everyone log on this week.

We have really enjoyed looking through your work on Purple Mash and it has been lovely to see people sharing the stories that they have been reading and listening to on our reading blog too. Keep sharing your ideas to give each other inspiration of different books to read and listen to. Keep reading a little bit each day :)

It’s also important that you keep yourself active so make sure you do some regular exercise with Joe Wicks or BBC Super-movers to do some active times tables! Some children have also been making home obstacle courses which is a lovely idea that you may choose to take part in. You may also want to time yourself and see who is the fastest in your family. If you do this, we'd love to hear about it!

Finally, don’t forget there are plenty of fun activities to choose from in the 'Home Learning' section on the website.

Hello Miss Harding and Mrs Dutton
I have been doing Joe Wicks PE every day and Albie, Holly and I have been making obstacle courses in our garden which is great fun! On Sunday and Monday we have slept in a big den we made. I have enjoyed the Mary Anning task today so I hope you enjoy reading it. I love times table rock stars so I will do more to get our score up.

Hi Miss Harding hope you are feeling better? Thanks for all the tasks although it does appear that Olley has not brought home most of the books he needs. He's just got maths and a book he says is for science! However we are trying to do the tasks (although it is like trying to get blood out of a stone sometimes) We will keep going though! Hope everyone is Staying Safe. See you soon.

Hi Michelle and Olley!
I'm feeling much better thank you! I hope you and your family are all well too!
Olley should have his maths book and then the other book is his workbook for all other work.

Keep going Olley, you can do it! I can't wait to see the work you have done. You can send me pictures of any work over 2email on Purple Mash :) and I can see the work completed on there too. I have already given out some awards to people for their work. I'd love to give you and other children in the class them too :)!

Thank you for your message Michelle, If I can help with anything else, just ask! There are also activities on the HOME LEARNING page if they help to provide alternative activities if needed.

Stay safe and look after yourselves.
See you soon,

Miss Harding

Ahhh right, he told us it was just for science. So we have got him some more books. Thanks for the Easter message, Olley got very exciting about the Minecraft link (so did we as it's free!) He's actually having a go now. If I can I will send some pictures of his work and life skills this week. Have a lovely Easter and hope you are getting some much needed rest x

Hello Miss Harding, I have loved doing all the art and DT. I have been making rainbow flowers with Eadie and home made playdough. I have also been reading lots and Mummy made a reading den for me. I think it needs some fairy lights now! And we have been jumping lots on our new trampoline. xx
