Good morning Reception 29.06.20

Date: 29th Jun 2020 @ 8:41am

Good morning everyone!

We hope you all had a lovely weekend. What did you get up to? It will be July later this week; July is one of the summer months. Do you know all of the months and seasons? Maybe you could try and find out using a calendar or with a grown-up's help on a computer or phone.

Let us know what your favourite month is and why. My favourite month is February as the daffodils start to grow and there are some special birthdays in my family as well as Pancake Day (sometimes!)

Have a great day

Love Mrs Pillai, Mrs Rogerson and Mrs Webster

Hello Hazel,
Wow what a colourful message, I really like all the unicorn pictures!
It sounds like you are working hard and keeping busy. We are so proud of you doing all of the Maths, Phonics and English work.
Do you help to put any of the plates and cups in the dishwasher? I hope Mummy and Daddy are pleased with it as well.
How did your rings turn out? Are they lovely and colourful?
Keep up the good work Hazel and take care.
Love Mrs Pillai, Mrs Rogerson and Mrs Webster

We have had a difficult time with home schooling and did have a break for a while with Freddieโ€™s emotions being all over the place. But I have found a way he does enjoy and prefer to do his maths in role play.... I have made 20 tokens out of card and we play shop keeper, hairdressers etc so he does his counting and adding through the tokens but playing at the same time. Plus side mummy gets a pamper from him and Rosie ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

He has done his reading and writing by creating his own story book and drawing pictures to match. His phonics have been done by playing the game โ€œthe floor is lavaโ€ I wrote all the phonics on A4 paper and taped them down to the floor and each had a chocolate coin on. I would say a phonic and he would have to tell me if itโ€™s a digraph or trigraph and tell me a word with it in and write down on the paper.....BUT if he got it wrong then the chocolate coin falls into the lava and gone forever ๐ŸŒ‹๐Ÿซ This helped him concentrate more because he didnโ€™t like it if he didnโ€™t get the chocolate coin.....naughty mummy ๐Ÿคญ

Freddie is excited coming into school on the 20/07 to visit his new classroom and I think this will help him more on returning back in September. What has helped too is the friends that are going into the same class with him too ๐Ÿ˜ƒ he was made up when we sat down and went through the new class list together. Xx
