Changing States investigation at MHS

Lesson: Science

5E had an interesting afternoon at Middlewich High School. To start our new science topic we investigated the changing states of water with Mr McAdam.

We watched what happens when you put water on a chip pan fire and the children can now explain why it is not a good idea!

Then we used bunsen burners to investigate how the length of time spent heating affects the volume of water in a container. The children were sensible and accurate in their groups, making excellent predictions and using scientific vocaulary to explain the processes happening in front of them. Well done Year 5.
