International Peace Day

This year to celebrate International Peace Day, Middlewich Primary School are sharing a special peace lunch that has been inspired by foods from around the world. We are going to take part in a variety of activities. Everyone is going to be involved from the youngest children to the oldest children. Each year group are doing something different related to peace. The youngest children will be learning about being kind to each other and shaking hands. There will be drama activities creating peace scenarios. We will get creative when we design a peace garden, paint a wreath of hands and write a peace poem. Some children will write a letter of peace linked to a book they have been studying. Our oldest children will try to work out how many handshakes would take place if everyone in the school shook hands with each other. We believe that this work links to our school goal ‘Living in Harmony’. We want there to be peace and harmony throughout the world starting in our own school.
