Year 3H 2020 - 2021

3H's Class Page!
This webpage allows you to see what we will be learning this year. Please look through the gallery items to see the work we are really proud of.
Things to remember....
- P.E is on a Monday and a Thursday. Children will do P.E in their school uniform and trainers.
- Read to an adult as often as possible - every night is fantastic. Remember...every time you hit 10 reads, you will collect a reading flower! Keep reading regularly at home. 5 or 10 minutes per day is better than practising for one hour on one day.
Your child will be given two book banded books each Monday. These need to be returned on the Thursday of that week where they will remain in school over the weekend. Reading diaries will also be checked at this time.
Homework
Homework will be given out on a Friday and will need to be completed by the following Thursday. This will generally have a maths, spelling or reading focus. Homework will be set on Purple Mash and TT Rockstars. If you have any problems accessing these online platforms, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
This week's homework: Friday 27th November 2020
Try to do 5-10 minutes of TT Rockstars three times a week to keep learning your times tables.
We also use Purple Mash for online homework tasks. You will recieve two short tasks each week. Purple Mash is an online educational platform which allows children to complete different activities in line with the curriculum.
Each week, you should have 2 tasks on your purple alert tab at the top of the page. If you can't find this you will find them on the red 2do tab.
Maths:
Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 8 times tables. Remember if you know your 4's, you can double your 4's to find the answer to your 8's.
Here is a sway lesson for you to watch and sing our times table songs at home. You may find this helpful when learning your times tables. There is no need to complete this but you may want to.

English: Possessive Apostrophes
Drag the missing words to complete the sentences. Remember that you use a possessive apostrophe to show that something belongs to someone.
E.g.
Sam's cat was black.
The black cat belonged to Sam.
If you have any other problems accessing any homework, please ask :).
