Year 5: Summer is here!

Date: 16th Jul 2020 @ 2:23pm

Hello Year 5!

We can’t quite believe the final week of the school year is now drawing to a close. What an incredible year we have had together! We have shared many laughs and smiles along the way and developed in our knowledge of many things- especially rivers and Shakespeare! It has been a real roller coaster ride and you have made us so proud with your resilience and hard work.

We really enjoyed our zoom calls this week. It was lovely to reflect with you and think back to our favourite memories of this past year. It would be wonderful if you could write them in reply to this blog, so that those not on your call can hear your favourite parts of Year 5 too.

Many of you said your classmates have made your Year 5 journey memorable. We believe this describes you perfectly. You are a fantastic team. You have worked so well together over the year and have remained in touch, supporting one another over the past couple of months. It’s been a delight reading your blogs and emails- sharing your ideas, learning and marvellous Mexican meals!

If you want to look at any of the home learning again over the summer holidays, it is saved under the Home Learning tab on the website (under Year 5 Home Learning).

Now, it is finally time for you to have your well-earned rest. We hope you have a lovely summer. Relax and remember, pick up a book every day!

Thank you for an unforgettable year.

Goodbye (for now!)

Miss Worden, Mrs Berry and Miss Wilson

Hi everyone,
My favourite part of year 5 has been EVERYTHING!. i have loved the zoom calls while we have not been able to come in to school. I have missed my friends and teachers and it has been nice to get messages and emails from them. I will look back at year 5 and smile, Young Voices was amazing and I will never forget that. I still have the songs in my head 😂
I am so excited to see you all next year.
Thank you Mrs Berry too for been an amazing teacher.
Goodbye for now
