Year Two Monday 11th May 2020

Date: 11th May 2020 @ 8:16am

Hello again Year Two!

We hope you've enjoyed your bank holiday weekend. We would love to hear about what you have been up to, especially if you did something on Friday for VE day. PLEASE send us a message on this blog because it would be so nice to hear from you. We hope you enjoy the new activities we have planned for you to do at home. Once again just download the Home Learning file WB 11.05.20 from the 'Files to Download' section of this page.

Try to make sure you do plenty of reading, this could be a book you love, a recipe, a comic or magazine, or even something you might find on the internet that interests you. Please also try each day to do some of the English and maths we have set for you as well as some of the other tasks we have set.

TT Rockstars is always there so please make sure you go on as often as you can. Miss Merson set up a battle this week and 2E are in front so come on all of you (especially 2W!) and let's see who wins!

We hope you have a lovely week and please make sure you message us on the blog so we can say hello.

Missing you all and we look forward to hearing from you this week and seeing you all soon.

Stay safe and keep active.

Mr Williamson and Mr Edwards

Good morning everyone
On Friday we had a VE party we were the only ones at ours but there was lots of people having there own party on our street. We had a picnic on the front and gave everyone who went past some cake. All the children had a big water fight on the front I joined in but we used cups of water as we didn't have water guns. We sang songs, I leaned to play curby and had lots of fun.
On Saturday mum got us some water guns so we could have a water fight in the garden I got soaked but at least I was in my swimming costume.
Last week I enjoyed doing maths and making bunting. Both of my neighbours asked me to make them some bunting as they had none and liked ours so I did.
I hope you had a nice week!

Hi Mr Williamson,

I had a great weekend. On Friday we had a tea party in the front garden and saw Minnie Mouse on Santa's sleigh. My new swimming pool came so I spent some time in there too.

I'm looking forward to doing some junk modelling this week and have been saving boxes to do it. I couldn't get onto white rose maths this morning though ๐Ÿ˜• I did tt rockstars instead. I'm also looking forward to art.

Stay safe from Sophia

Good Morning

I have had a lovely weekend. We had the pool out which was fun and cold. I made some bunting to put up in our window for VE Day. It was my sisters birthday on Saturday and we took a small cake around for her which we had to leave on her doorstep. We did get to see her from the end of her drive.. I saw Santa Sleigh on Saturday with Mickey and Minnie Mouse who were collecting for the food bank.
Come on 2W we can beat 2E!!!!!
Nathaniel.

The VE party sounds like lots of fun. It's very kind that you were sharing your cake with other people. Curby is lots of fun and I enjoyed playing it when I was younger.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the maths last week and I've seen that you are working really hard on TT rockstars. Keep up the good work.
Take care and keep in touch :)

Hi Mr Williamson,
For VE Day me and my family made some Great Britain flags and put them in my window to celebrate the end of the war.
I've spent most of my time playing in the garden with my sister and my new football net which is cool.
I've been doing all of my work, first I was finding maths a bit hard but now I find it easier after practicing.
I've not been doing much reading but I've promised my Dad that I will be reading 15 or 20 pages of a book every night before bed! I'm currently reading 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'.
See you soon everyone!

Ava - Lovely to hear from you. I hope you and your family had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunny weather. Have a lovely week and keep in touch!

Lillia - It sounds like you had the right idea with a water fight in the garden. What a hot day Saturday was! I'm glad you are having fun at home and I hope you are enjoying the Home Learning for this week too. Keep blogging!

Sophia - I'm glad you had a nice VE day. I heard about Mickey Mouse on a sleigh too. What fun that was! I'm glad you are enjoying the D.T. and all the other Home Learning. I miss you all a lot. I have done a lot of work and have had to get a new book to write in. I am reading my new chapter books every night. I will go on TT rockstars to try and help my class to win the battle. I have been playing in my garden with my dog and we have put some new fences up. We are going to redo our garden so we need to move the strawberry patch. I am doing Joe Wickes every day but I had a rest on Friday because it was the bank holiday. I have got really good at Crossy Road on my kindle and have beaten everybody 3 times and have got more than 600 points now.
See you all soon

Hi Mr Williamson,

I like doing the Maths and especially the TT Rockstars. I didn't know the battle with 2E ended on Sunday though, so my points haven't been added :(

Me, my sister and step-sister coloured lots of bunting and put them outside for VE day to celebrate the ending of the war 75 years ago. We had a street party with our neighbours and we played football and cricket together, but we stayed 2m away from each other :) It was very fun having a street party, because it was nice to see everybody.

It's my sister's birthday this week, so we will be having a Zoom party for her so she can see her friends when she's cutting her cake!

Hope you stay safe.
