Hello FW 11.5.20

Date: 11th May 2020 @ 8:34am

Good morning everybody,

We have woken up to another sunny day, we are being very lucky with the weather at the moment. I have put some more activities on the website for you for this week. I hope you enjoy the fun things we have thought of for you to do.

On Friday it was VE day and there were lots of lovely celebrations going on over the weekend. I saw decorations outside houses and have heard that lots of people had parties with their families in the garden. Did you do anything nice for VE day? I would love to hear about what you got up to. Please send me a message and let me know.

Have another lovely week with your families and stay safe.

Hello Mrs Webster

I helped my mam make a cake and some scones, we sat in the front garden and one of our neighbours sang us some songs. I decorated some bunting to put up outside, I enjoyed a hot dog and lots of cake and sweets. I had a ride up and down the street on my scooter to look at everyone's decorations. I have just done the end word phonics game and now I am going to do my writing.

See you soon

Good Morning Everyone,

I am really enjoying the sunny weather! I had another bbq on Saturday in the really hot sun, mum covered me in sun cream! For VE day we had a street party, me and Ted decorated the house with buntings and balloons. We had a picnic on the front garden. I played on my scooter and have tried to ride my bike with no stabilizers but I preferred to play with my Lego because it was easier. Mum has been reading me Julia Donaldson re bed and I have been recognizing some of the words, my favorite book is 'The smeds and the smoos'!!
I'm looking forward to seeing you all, love from Stan x

Hi Charlie and Stan,
It's great to hear from you both. It sounds like you both had some super VE day celebrations at the weekend. You also both sound like you have been very busy!

Charlie, you are making me hungry telling me that you did some baking with your mam. I think it must be time for my lunch! I'm glad that you are doing lots of work. I won't believe what you can do when I see you again. I think your reading and writing will impress me!

Stan, it is a bit tricky to ride your bike without stabilisers but if you keep trying and don't give up then you will soon be able to do it and ride your bike really well. I love Julia Donaldson books too. I have never heard of 'The smeds and the smoos' but I will be looking it up because it sounds fun.

Keep working hard boys, stay safe and I will hopefully see you soon.

Hi Lola,
It's lovely to hear from you. It sounds like you had a great VE day celebration at the weekend. Afternoon tea sounds lovely but I don't think I would be as keen on the water fight!
What else have you been up to Lola? Have you enjoyed doing some of the work that I have put on the website for you? Make sure you keep practising your reading, writing and numbers. Make sure you exercise too and keep healthy.
I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Hi Mrs Webster,
On VE day we made some bunting like the flag and we had lots of fun in the garden. I learnt that VE day is a celebration for the end of the war.
I'm making sure I do my phonics, maths and reading every single day, and try to do lots of the other activites too. Sometimes I get fed up though.
I hope you are staying safe.
Love from Lillia

Hi Lillia,
It's lovely to hear from you again. It sounds like you had a lovely VE weekend, it really is a very good thing to celebrate.
I am so glad you are working hard still. You will be amazing at all of your work when I see it next. I'm looking forward to that.
I can understand that you get fed up doing too many activities. It's not quite the same as doing them with your friends at school is it. Hopefully you will soon be able to get busy with your friends again but for now we need to stay at home and stay safe. I get fed up sometimes too but I know that we will all be able to see each other soon.
Have lots of fun in this nice weather Lillia,
I look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Hi Mrs Webster... I have had a lovely weekend. I decorated the house with VE decorations and coloured in a flag. We had a street party and sat on the end of the drive. I planted some flowers in the garden and I am watering them every day.
I enjoyed cutting out the shapes and I made a rocket and a house and stuck them in my book. Missing school and my friends and hope to see you soon xxx love Poppy x

Hi Poppy,
It's great to hear from you again. It sounds like you had a lovely time at your street party and I bet your house looked lovely with all your decorations. Your flowers will be brightening up your garden. Make sure you keep watering them to keep them alive. Apart from days like today when it is raining!:( I'm glad you enjoyed the shape activity, I think your pictures will be great. Have you been doing lots of reading too?
I miss you all too and can't wait to see you all.

Dear Mrs Webster,

I have got a new bike! It is bigger and doesnโ€™t have stabilisers. It is pink and white. Iโ€™ve been practicing a lot on my bike.

I have been doing my homework. I had a bbq and a picnic outside for VE Day. I decorated lots of flags and it was very nice.

I hope you are having a nice lockdown love Olivia.

Hi Hazel,
It's lovely to hear from you again. It really sounds like you are working very hard at home, and having some fun time too. Well done! Have you still been doing your daily exercise? We have Joe Wickes on in our house every morning. The weather isn't as nice this week so let's hope the sun starts to shine a bit more and the rain stays away.
