Hello 1P!

How are you? I hope you are all well and that you have all had a lovely weekend.

Your new activities are on the class page now. Scroll down to 'Files to Download' on our class page and you will see it. Look carefully for this week's date.

Now we have been learning at home for a few weeks, I'd love to know what you like about learning at home and what you don't like. What is your favourite activitiy to do?

I really love hearing from you. I'm really missing you all and I hope I can see you all soon.

Take care,

Mrs Parker smiley

Hi Mrs Parker,
I enjoy the maths tasks and geography. I like drawing pictures and colouring them in.
I like some of the English lessons but I don't like writing too many sentences at once πŸ™‚

Keep up with writing your sentences! I'm sure they are very good!

Hi Mrs Parker,

I am enjoying doing the geography lessons I find them fun. My least favourite thing at the moment is maths but I am trying my best with it.

I helped my dad plant some bushes on our front garden last week, it was fun!

I am really scared about returning to school and have been getting a bit upset at the thought of returning without my sister.

I hope you are staying safe.

Love Mollie

Hi Mollie!
I'm glad you like the geography tasks! Keep going with your maths - you can do it!
Try not to be scared about going into school - just think about being able to see some of your friends. :)
I am staying safe thank you. Keep working hard Mollie!

Hi Mrs Parker
I like learning from home. My favourite activity was the Enormous Turnip. I did not like the handwriting. Today I made a den with Izzy. We made it out of covers. It was really fun!

Lovely to hear from you. I'm glad you like learning from home, it's not like learning in school is it? The Enormous Turnip makes me laugh!
Building a den sounds like great fun! What did you attach the covers to?

My favourite activity at home is PE with Joe Wicks. I really like the White Rose maths. I really enjoyed the Enormous Turnip. I have missed taking part in group activities and my mates. I am looking forward to seeing everybody soon. xxx

Hi Mrs Parker,
I have in enjoyed working at home because I can use the computer and choose which piece of work comes next. Have you enjoyed it too?
I have not enjoyed watching the maths videos because the lady goes very slowly when she tell me about the work.
This week I have enjoyed my science and history work and have made a birdhouse.
Working at home is fun sometimes but when my sister comes it is a bit tricky but I don't mind that.
Love Niamh.

Hi Niamh!
Being able to choose which piece of work comes next is definitely a bonus of working at home! I think working at home has been okay, but I definitely miss the class a lot and I can't wait to see everybody again.
Have you tried the BBC Bitesize maths lessons? If you have, what do you think of them?
Did you enjoy making the birdhouse? Did you put it outside?

Hello Mrs Parker, hope you had a nice weekend.
My favourite was when I did about the enormous turnip as I have the book and enjoy reading and I enjoyed drawing pictures of them pulling it up.i also enjoy doing maths. I don’t like watching the you tube phonics as they speak really slowly and I get bored listening but I do like phonics just not that.
Love George x

Hi George!
I did have a nice weekend thank you, I hope you did too.
The Enormous Turnip seems popular! Esme and James A both said they liked that too.
I'm glad you enjoy doing the maths works. Are you doing the White Rose maths? Or the activities from the home learning sheets? Or both?
And with the phonics - we don't all like the same thing. Are there other activities you like to do for your phonics?

Hi Mrs Parker,
Hope you are ok. πŸ˜€
I like that I get to sit in the dining room at the table where my Mum is also doing her work.
My little brother Jack interrupts us sometimes but that's only because he likes to be nosey!
What I don't like is that I don't get to see my friends but hopefully I will soon!
